A Bee Creation

Below is a day by day timeline of the activities I did in Oahu. The weather was not ideal vacation weather (very windy and rainy) but we still made the most of the time we had! I feel beyond blessed to have experienced this Hawaiian island.

Day One:

Day 2: 

• Took the bus to Ala Moana Mall and shopped around. 
• Went back to the Waikiki area and sat on the beach. 
• Had dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise. This place is more like the normal American bar food type place.

Day 3: 

• We rented a Jeep, and I had plans to go to the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden, but the weather changed those plans. 
• We then tried to go to Manoa Falls, that was also a bust. 
• So we drove around for a while (around, I mean, the majority of the island). We then decided to just drive around the northern part of the island and stop at road stops to take in the beauty. 
• We stopped at a perfect little spot called Lanai Lookout (check out this blog post!) to watch the waves. Turns out, this is where I was getting proposed to at!

• We then drove to Ka’a’awa and had lunch at The Crouching Lion. If you have a car, I very much recommend this place! I had veggie sushi, delicious. 

• That night, my new fiancé and I went to dinner at Appetito. Neither of us drinks, but we sat at the bar, drank mocktails, and enjoyed our pizzas. This place is so good, we went twice. 
• Walked around, then spent the afternoon at the beach! 
• Don’t even get me started on the mess we went through trying to return the rental…

Day 4:

• Walked around, then spent the afternoon at the beach! 

Day 5: 

• We joined Waikiki Sailing Company and went snorkeling with the turtles! If you’re looking for any catamaran ride, I recommend them! They were informative, fun, and safe. We had an all-female crew, which rocked!

• Took a nap, then ate at Earl’s as our celebratory meal. Omg, delish! Be sure to make a reservation. We had their crème brûlée cheesecake; I think about it daily. 

Day 6: 

• We rented a two-person moped from Hawaiian Style Rentals. I also recommend them. Very nice people and great pricing! 
• We drove back to Manoa Falls. We did the hike to see the waterfall. If you don’t hike (like me), it’s a little of a struggle. 

• We then went and had tacos at Serg’s Mexican Kitchen— also VERY good!

• Stopped by Leonard’s Bakery and got some malasada. You gotta go. 

Day 7:

• All-day beach day!

Day 8: 

• Went back to Apetito! Did some shopping and then spent our last evening by the beach. 

I feel so thankful and privileged to have the opportunity to go. Thanks for reading about my favorite trip I’ve ever been on.
