I know I already have an “About Me” page, but I wanted to write a little more about the person who is writing these posts.
Q&A
What do people call you? My name is Abigail, but I usually go by Abby. Unless, Im in trouble. If you know, you know.
What do you do in your every day life? I work a normal 9-5 job. I help take care of my grandparents and I hangout with my Fiancé and pups!
Where are you from? I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado. I do not however have one of those silly NATIVE stickers on the back of my car.
Why did you start a blog? I wanted to have a place where I can write down all of my creative thoughts and ideas. I feel like I am constantly thinking and making things that I don’t ever show or say to others.
What is something that makes you happy? This sounds silly, but my couch. I feel proud to have purchased it with my own money. It’s also like the perfect couch ever.
Why the Bee theme? I once made a comment “A Bee” sounds like “Abby” and ever since, it has stuck. Helps that I think they are the cutest little things.
What did your childhood look like? I was raised by a single mom who was also an addict. Then, I moved to my grandparents on my father’s side. Last, I ended up with my single grandmother, my mom’s mom. It was a lot of growing up way too fast. I never got to be my age. Over time, we have healed (including my mom), but there is no denying that it was a hard upbringing.
How would you describe yourself? Modest. Creative. And adaptable.
What is your personal aesthetic? Vintage, historic, but also a cozy amber color.
What scares you? Putting myself out there. I feel like this blog is a super small step into growing out of that. I have so much to say and so much to show, but I am nervous about putting myself out there. Which is odd, because public speaking doesn’t bother me.
What’s your favorite thing you have made? I made a scrapbook full of old documents, postcards, photos, etc. I feel like it tells a story about who those who may have been forgotten.
What are some of your simple joys? Eating dinner with my Fiance. We always make it a point to sit together at the kitchen table and eat together. I love when my dogs get super excreted or when they’re lazy and just want loves. Being around my family, even when we’re not doing anything. Shopping with my sister and saying “Aww that cute!” Every 30 seconds.
What season of life are you in? My Fiance era. I gagged typing that lol. Im slowly starting to think about our wedding and our future. I’ve never really had any thoughts of myself getting married, so it’s been fun learning things about myself.
